BENGUET STATE U TO HOLD COFFEE WEBINAR
THE BENGUET State University, in partnership with the Commission on Higher Education, will hold a seminar on Arabica Coffee to promote cultivars in the Cordillera region.
The “Arabica Coffee Research Webinar and Stakeholders’ Meeting in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR)” aims to highlight, sustain and conserve the traditional Arabica coffee cultivars from Benguet and Mountain Province.
“This webinar aims to present the highlights of the five projects of the “R & D Program on Arabica Coffee in the Cordillera Administrative Region, a CHED-funded program implemented by Benguet State University,” BSU said on Facebook.
The webinar will be held on October 21, 2020, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
It will feature 13 professors who will tackle the morphology of coffee, evaluation and development of best practices, development of bio-control-based strategies against insects, soil characterization, and policy analysis towards an agro-enterprise development of arabica coffee in the region.
