BENGUET STATE U PARTNERS WITH UNIVERSITY OF GUAM FOR IP CULTURE WEBINAR

THE BENGUET State University Institute of Social Research and Development in partnership with the University of Guam will be conducting an online seminar in observance of the National Indigenous Peoples Month.

The webinar titled “Understanding Culture Across Border: Showcasing the Cultural Practices of the Chamorros and Cordillera Indigenous Peoples” aims to highlight indigenous people’s rights and preservation of cultural communities.

“This October is the National Indigenous Peoples Month. The celebration highlights the indigenous peoples’ rights and the preservation of indigenous cultural communities as part of the life of the nation,” Benguet State University said on Facebook.

The webinar will be held for two days on October 15 and 16 at 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Philippine Standard Time.

For Day 1, guest speakers include Lisa Natividad, Tressa Diaz, Tricia Lizama and professors from the University of Guam.

Stanley Anongos, Jr, Ann Kiwang, Matyline Talastas, Leah Abayao from the Philippines will give their presentations on Day 2.
