BENGUET STATE U GETS 3-STAR RATING FROM QS STAR
THE BENGUET State University was given a 3-star rating by the QS Star World University Rankings, certifying its quality of education that is comparable to international standards.
QS Star is an international rating website that gives a detailed look at schools for students who are searching for prospective universities.
BSU was rated on the following criteria: teaching (five stars); employability (five stars); facilities (four stars); social responsibility (four stars); academic development (four stars); internationalization (two stars); inclusiveness (five stars); program strength education (four stars), which gave the school a total of three stars.
BSU’s rating is valid from September 28, 2020 until September 28, 2023, the university said.
“Through rigorous and independent data collection and analysis of performance metrics as set out in the QS Stars methodology, Benguet State University was rated as a Three-Star Institution,” the BSU said on Facebook.
“BSU is the first in the Cordillera Administrative Region to gain QS Stars rating. BSU was one of the 14 SUCs in the country identified by CHED to become part of the Fostering World-Class Universities in the Philippines Program,” it added.
Dr. Marie Aurea Sandoval, director of BSU’s Office of Quality Assurance and Accreditation, said the QS Star rating highlights the school’s strength. It will also allow them to identify its weaknesses and to promote academic programs and research.
