THE BENGUET State University will soon have its own Biodiversity Research Center.

BSU said that the center, to be constructed in its Bokod campus, aims to provide research that will help with the promotion of biodiversity conservation.

Officials from BSU held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of the construction.

The center is expected to be finished by April 2022.

“The construction of the Biodiversity Research Center aims to provide a facility for research in the promotion of biodiversity conservation as part of the research mandate of the University, as well as improve higher education research to promote economic productivity and innovation,” BSU said on Facebook.

“The center will include a Biodiversity Information Center, facilities for recreational services, and a building for a Cordillera Heritage Center,” it added.
