BATANGAS STATE U, UNIVERSITY OF WOLVERHAMPTON TIE UP FOR RESEARCH WORKSHOP
THE BATANGAS State University and University of Wolverhampton partnered to hold a five-day workshop on environment resiliency.
The workshop will gather researchers of various disciplines interested in helping the Philippines prevent the degradation of its natural resources.
It will convene local stakeholders and academic professionals to develop significant and innovative strategies, technologies and approaches towards environmental resilience of coastal communities in the Philippines.
The initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of local participants in realizing the relevance of emerging technologies in environmental resilience and provide a good opportunity to develop multidisciplinary approaches for effective environmental resilience management of coastal communities.
University President Tirso A. Ronquillo and Prof. Chaminda Pathirage kicked off the activities themed “Developing Smart Environmental Resilience Solutions for Coastal areas in the Philippines: Susceptibility, Adaptation and Mitigation Measures: SEACAP.”
