BATANGAS STATE U INKS MOA WITH MALAYSIA INSTITUTE FOR SUPPLY CHAIN INNOVATION

THE BATANGAS State University has forged a partnership agreement with the Malaysia Institute for Supply chain Innovation that will allow the two institutions to collaborate on supply chain research and other projects.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed in a virtual ceremony on September 18, 2020 by BSU President Dr. Tirso Ronquillo and MISI CEO and Rector, Dr. David Gonsalvez.

BSU Vice President for External Affairs and ICT, Dr. Kristoffer Conrad Tejada and MISI Academic Registrar, Dr. Sabariah Jemali, served as witnesses.

Also present during the signing ceremony were Dean of College of Engineering, Architecture, and Fine Arts, Dr. Jessie Montalbo, BSU External Affairs Director, Engr. Edzel Gamab, and MISI Research Director, Dr. Shardul.

The memorandum provides for academic cooperation through faculty exchange, student exchange, and collaborative research projects on supply chain in the ASEAN region, e-commerce, and mobility.

All partnership activities will be conducted virtually until travel restrictions in both countries have been lifted.

The Malaysia Institute for Supply chain Innovation is the fourth center in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology-Global Supply Chain and Logistics Excellence Network. It is an international alliance of leading edge research and educational organizations dedicated to the development and dissemination of global innovation in supply chain and logistics.

The institute was launched as a joint initiative between MIT and the Malaysian government in 2011.
