BATANGAS State University-The National Engineering University was recognized by the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office IV as the Most Outstanding Higher Education Institution in Internationalization in the recently concluded 2023 CHED-CALABARZON Internationalization Awards.

The university achieved the said award for its efforts in advancing the internationalization of Philippine education.

BatSU also received the Top-Performing HEI in Internationalization for Research and Innovation award, the Second-Top Performing HEI in Internationalization for Academic Delivery and Instruction award, and the Second-Top Performing HEI in Internationalization for Resource Generation award.

BatSU was recognized by the CHED for entering various international rankings such as the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking, the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Stars Rating, and the Accreditation from Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).

University President Tirso Ronquillo said that these achievements are testaments of the school’s efforts in producing future leaders.

“These awards are testaments of the University’s continuing efforts in producing leaders in the global knowledge economy, as well as our initiatives on pushing frontiers in a borderless world,” the president said.

Ronquillo reiterated that they will do more to push the efforts and the commitment of the university through the advancement of Philippine education’s internationalization.
