BATANGAS State University has earned the highest mark of re-accreditation for its BS in Computer Science and BS in Information Technology programs from the Computing Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (CAC-ABET).
ABET, based in Baltimore, Maryland, is the premier global accreditor of college and university programs in applied and natural sciences, computing, engineering, and engineering technology. Its accreditation is widely recognized as a hallmark of international quality and relevance.
The rigorous evaluation, conducted from November 10 to 12, 2024, assessed curriculum design, faculty qualifications, student learning outcomes, facilities, stakeholder engagement, and institutional support.
The accreditation affirms that BatStateU’s computing programs under the College of Informatics and Computing Sciences meet world-class standards “to produce graduates ready for leadership roles in fast-growing fields of information technology and computer science.”
“With this CAC-ABET accreditation, we reaffirm our commitment to excellence not only in engineering but also in computing education,” said University President Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo.
“This global recognition certifies that our computing programs are designed and delivered to empower students for leadership, innovation, and service in the digital age,” he added.
