BATANGAS STATE U BECOMES NAT’L ENGINEERING U
THE BATANGAS State University was formally declared the National Engineering University of the country in a ceremony on Monday.
This was made possible with the enactment of Republic Act 11694 making BatStateU the leader in shaping the country’s engineering education.
The law gives BatStateU’s engineering courses in both undergraduate and graduate programs to become the top engineering school in the country.
Dr. Tirso A. Ronquillo was installed as the first president of the BatStateU as National Engineering University.
The event included a groundbreaking ceremony for a 10-story dormitory building and five-story medical and health science building.
Government officials led by Lipa City Representative Ralph Recto, Commission on Higher and Technical Education Chairperson Mark Go, Trade and Industry Secretary Alfredo Pascual and House Speaker Lord Allan Velasco lauded the university for hitting the milestone.
