A TOTAL of 80 students from Bataan received scholarship grants from the Commission on Higher Education.

A one-time fixed grant under CHED’s Student Monetary Assistance for Recovery and Transition Program was given to the students worth P25,000.

The checks were handed to the students of Bataan Region 3 last Friday.

“Binabati po namin kayo at nawa’y magamit at makatulong po sa inyo ang halagang inyong natanggap upang mas pagbutihin pa ang inyong mga pag-aaral at matagumpay na makapagtapos sa mga kaniya-kaniyang kurso sa kolehiyo,” Bataan 3rd District Representative Gila Garcia said on Facebook.

According to CHED, the SMART grant is created to help students with their education amid the effects of the pandemic.

The budget for the program is sourced under the Higher Education Development Fund of CHED as stated under the commission’s memorandum order No.8 series of 2023.
