AUTHORITIES CONFIRM DEATH OF PERSON OF INTEREST IN SALILIG HAZING CASE
A PERSON of interest in the case of Adamson University student John Matthew Salilig is confirmed dead.
Laguna Police Director Col. Randy Glen Silvio confirmed the development on Friday.
Silvio said the person died by hanging the same day news broke out that Salilig’s body was found in Imus, Cavite.
Several individuals have come forward to testify in the Salilig case, some of whom were participants and new recruits of the Tau Gamma Philippines fraternity.
Salilig was reportedly beaten to death during the initiation rites of the fraternity.
He was buried on Saturday along with his grandfather who died the previous week.
His family also vowed to pursue justice for Salilig’s death.
