/ 7 January 2025

A STUDENT from the Ateneo School of Government (ASoG) received the Best Paper Award at the 2024 Philippine Society for Public Administration (PSPA) International Conference, held last month in Bacolod City.

Nizam Marohomsalic Pabil was recognized for his Governance Innovation Report, titled “Establishing Genuine Political Parties in BARMM: Facilitators and Barriers in the Registration and Accreditation of Regional Parliamentary Political Parties in BARMM.”

Pabil, a master’s student in public management at ASoG, received high praise for his work.

“Congratulations to Mr. Pabil, and we hope you continue to lead reforms that serve the nation,” ASoG wrote on Facebook.

Meanwhile, ASoG Executive Education Program Head Sharon Grace Yabut also presented her paper, “Empowering the Future: Developing Key Skills for a Resilient and Adaptive Public Sector Workforce.”

MPM alumni also shared their Governance Innovation Reports: Jerome Calayag on the pandemic’s impact on Bulacan’s learning system, Nelia Bustria on timely justice in the Senate, and Rowena Constantino on vaping laws and youth e-cigarette use.

With the theme “Exploring New Governance Approaches for Sustainability and Administrative Resilience,” the conference brought together scholars, practitioners, and students to discuss innovative governance solutions for sustainable and resilient systems.
