/ 27 October 2023

A GROUP of students from the Ateneo de Manila University won first runner-up at the Philippine Association of National Advertisers 23rd PANAnaw Awards held earlier this week.

The Ateneo Marketing Varsity was composed of Katherine Go, Lyra Tan, Erica Uy, Gian Tan, Chloe Elma, Agatha Garduque, Joanna Reyes, Kyle Go, Missy Albangco, Aldrin Gamayon, Joshua Mateo, Samantha See, Agatha Fernandez, Alyssa Peyra, and Ariel Huesca.

They presented a year-long strategy titled “Pa, Ma, Napag-iiwanan na tayo” that targets millennial Filipino parents through digital and physical touchpoints.

“Utilizing the reach of flash shows, top personalities, household brands, and television, PAMANA educates parents on the education crisis and empowers them to advocate for education innovation through partnerships with NGOs and LGUs,” the university said.

The PANAnaw Awards is recognized as the most prestigious intercollegiate brand communications competition since 2004.

This year, 24 universities nationwide responded in creating an awareness campaign on “Bridging Gaps Between Education, Social Meanings and Career Opportunities: An Urgent Call for Education Innovation.”

Among the 24 entries, the Top 5 were called to present their program before a panel of judges that included Metrobank Foundation President Aniceto Sobrepeña, GCash Marketing Vice President Wilfrido De Ocampo, Edukasyon.ph CEO Grace David, Dentsu Philippines CEO JC Catibog, PANA President Adi Timog-Hernandez, LouderPH Partner RG Gabunada, and Senator Francis Escudero.
