ATENEO STUDENTS BAG SECOND PLACE IN 2025 OCEANIA CASE COMPETITION

/ 9 September 2025

STUDENTS from Ateneo de Manila University clinched second place in the online round of the 2025 Oceania Case Competition (OCC) hosted by the University of Auckland last month.

Team Inside Out—composed of Mikayla Rae Guerrero, Andrei Napoles, Megan Orendain, and Johann Tan—was the only Asian contingent among 18 participating universities from Australia and Oceania.

The OCC, organized annually by the University of Auckland Case Club, is regarded as one of the most prestigious platforms in the region for aspiring business leaders to tackle real-world challenges.

This year’s edition featured both online and offline rounds, expanding the competition’s accessibility and reach.

The Ateneo team presented a strategic roadmap for the Canva Foundation to address child malnutrition in the Philippines through scalable, barangay-level interventions.

Judges commended the team for its structured framework and the practical social impact potential of its proposal.

The strong showing highlights Ateneo’s growing presence in international case competitions and underscores the global competitiveness of Filipino students.
