ATENEO SHOOTER CHARGED
MURDER and frustrated murder charges have been filed against the man who shot and killed three persons at the Ateneo de Manila University, the Philippine National Police said on Tuesday.
PNP Spokesperson Jean Fajardo said that three counts of murder, frustrated murder and carnapping were filed against Dr. Chao-Tiao Yumol at the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
Yumol gunned down former Lamitan Mayor Rose Furiga, her aide Victor Capistrano and university guard Jeneven Bandiala on Sunday before the scheduled graduation rites of the ADMU Law School.
Furiga’s daughter, a member of the graduating class, was also wounded.
Yumol was arrested by the police in Aurora Boulevard after trying to flee from the crime scene.
