ATENEO PROFESSOR APPOINTED AS PRESIDENT OF DAP

AN ASSOCIATE professor from the Ateneo de Manila University was appointed as the new president of the Development Academy of the Philippines.

Dr. Majah-Leah Ravago will serve as DAP’s 10th president and chief executive officer.

She took her oath earlier this month before DAP Board of Trustees Chairperson National Economic and Development Authority Secretary Arsenio Balisacan, and members of Department of Agrarian Reform Undersecretary Atty. Luis Meinrado Pañgulayan, Department of Finance Assistant Secretary Nino Alvina, and Alternate BoT Representative Atty. Jether Corpuz.

“Let us wish Majah all the best as she continues being a problem solver and change maker at the DAP,” Ateneo said.

Ravago is Associate Professor at the Department of Economics and the Ateneo Center for Economic Research and Development

She leads the House of Representatives-Ateneo de Manila University Evidence-Based Research Project which is delivering thirteen research studies and policy briefs aimed at helping our country’s decision-makers respond to local and global realities and build communities that are equitable and inclusive.
