ATENEO, PEAC PARTNER ON ADAPTIVE LEARNING

/ 15 December 2020

THE ATENEO De Manila University partnered with the Private Education Assistance Committee to offer Adaptive Professional Certificate Course to over 200 teachers from 12 private schools next year.

AdMU President Fr. Roberto Yap SJ signed a Memorandum of Agreement with PEAC Executive Director Rhodora Angela Ferrer to formalize their partnership on December 10.

Ferrer said that the professional certificate courses under the school’s Adaptive Design for Learning was aligned with the mission of PEAC.

“What drives the effort of PEAC? Simple, school needs to adapt. The pandemic calls us not just only to overcome the current challenges it poses for schools but to reimagine the future of teaching and learning,” Ferrer said.

ADL training will be coming from the lesser-resourced school systems, which have been prioritized in the selection process — an outreach made possible by the VTL Teacher Education Endowment Fund.

Teachers from the Philippine Science High School System and nearly 3,000 educators from other schools have undergone ADL training, mostly from the network of Jesuit schools and universities.
