ATENEO LAW GRADUATES TO DONATE MONEY TO SLAIN SECURITY GUARD’S KIN

/ 26 July 2022

THE CLASS of 2022 of the Ateneo De Manila University Law School set up a donation drive for the family of the security guard who died in a shooting incident in the university.

Jeneven Bandiala was killed along with former Lamitan City Mayor Rose Furigay and her aide Victor Capistrano in a shooting  incident on Sunday ahead of the scheduled graduation rites of AdMU’s Law school.

The mayor was the target of the shooting.

One of the organizers of the donation drive for Bandiala said that the move is a way of thanking the slain guard for his service to the university.

“Kuya Jeneven went above and beyond what was expected of him, and gave no less than his life in the duty of keeping our second home safe on what was supposed to be the happiest of days,” Shik Castillo said on her Facebook account.

“While nothing we can do will assuage the pain in the hearts of those he left behind, we will do all we can to extend to them the gratitude of the community he died to protect,” she added.

Those who want to donate can send their donations through Wayne Novera’s GCash account: 09153844381.
