ASSCAT, UCLA PARTNER FOR PALEOCLIMATE RESEARCH
THE AGUSAN del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology and the University of California Los Angeles will partner up for paleoclimate research in the province.
According to ASSCAT, paleoclimate research delves into historical climate patterns, providing crucial insights into natural climate variability, which will start soon.
A team from ASSCAT and UCLA is set to explore caves in the province, with the support of key government officials.
“Understanding past climates aids in predicting future changes and mitigating environmental impacts,” ASSCAT said.
“This joint venture holds significance in unraveling Agusan del Sur’s climatic history, contributing to broader climate change understanding,” it added.
Other universities will also be in conjunction with the research.
