ASIST TO REVIVE CONNECTION WITH ISRAEL FOR ACAD COLLABORATION
THE ABRA State Institute of Sciences and Technology will revive its collaboration with Israel for the internship of its students in that country.
ASIST said that the training of agricultural students in Israel was hampered by the Covid19 pandemic.
Officials from the school and New Era University Dean of School of International Relations and Consultant to International Affairs, Dr. Carlos C. Tabunda Jr. met with Israel’s Ambassador to the Philippines, Ilan Fluss in March to discuss the reinstatement of the program.
Also tackled was the conduct of a virtual lecture series for both faculty members and students.
The visit of Israeli delegates to ASIST this year was also proposed.
“[The school] continues to bolster its presence in global ground, the International Affairs Office is taking the lead in reviving networks that already exist to realize such goals and address the call towards achieving higher quality education and the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals,” ASIST said.
