THE AURORA State College of Technology on Friday mourned the passing of one of its instructors.

Cleo U. Barawid, a member of the faculty of the school’s education department, died on Wednesday.

The school did not mention the cause of her death.

“The whole ASCOT family would like to express its heartfelt condolences to her bereaved family as we pray to the almighty God to rest her soul in eternal peace,” it said on Facebook.

“The College greatly acknowledges her dedicated and passionate service to our institution. The excellent and strong foundation she laid to guide our students in achieving their dreams will be cherished forever,” it added.

Netizens and Barawid’s former students also sent their sympathies and condolences to her family, with some recalling their encounters with the instructor.
