ASCOT LAUNCHES ONLINE LIBRARY

/ 18 January 2024

THE Aurora State College of Technology launched its library online in a bid to reach more constituents through online platforms.

ASOCT said contents of the online platform are not only available to students, but other community members can also access the site.

“The convenience of accessing these services online will undoubtedly encourage more ASCOTians to engage in reading and research, whether inside or outside the library,” ASCOT college librarian Mardelyn Barrogo said.

“This makes every Library services available not only to the students of ASCOT but also to the community. The ASCOT Library site features its new book acquisitions, online public access catalog, access free electronic resources, library instructions, and learn more about the library,” the college said.

The library features six sections: Filipiniana, Periodicals or Serials, General Reference, Internet, DOST-STARBOOKS, and General Circulation, using the Dewey Decimal Classification system.

It is also using the KOHA system for cataloging searching, circulation, inventory, and system administration, streamlining processes like borrowing, returning, searching, cataloging, and inventory management, ASCOT said.
