ARELLANO U STUDENTS TO ADMIN: HOLD FACE-TO-FACE GRADUATIONS

/ 10 July 2022

ARELLANO University students requested school administration to implement face-to-face graduations.

In a Facebook post by the AU Multimedia Club welcoming new enrollees, students went to the comment section and called for the school to hold its graduations physically.

The students said instead of virtual event, in-person graduation should be held to honor their years of hard work and studying at the university.

They added it is the least thing the university can do amid the implementation of distance learning for the past two years.

Several students expressed disappointment the university will still implement online graduation rites on September and October.

An online petition was also launched by the students to urge the administration to change its graduation policy.

The Commission on Higher Education left the discretion to hold graduation rites to universities, as long as its guidelines and that of the Inter-Agency Task Force are met.
