APAYAO STATE COLLEGE SHARES TIP ON MENTAL HEALTH PROTECTION

/ 20 December 2020

EXERCISE. Take a breather. Vent your troubles.

These were some of the tips shared by the Apayao State College to its students to help them protect their mental health during these difficult times.

In a shared post from “BelievePerform”,  a website dedicated to sports psychology, the APC echoed the website’s “9 ways students can work on their mental health on a weekly basis”.

In an infographic, the school advised students to find time to engage in activities that provide a sense of self-care, talk openly about their struggles with trusted people, find time each day for a breather, and exercise to boost their mood.

“Try and stay active throughout the week. Exercise is a great way to reduce stress and boost mood. Engage in some activities to help you stay focused on the here and now and the present moment,” it said.

“If you are experiencing worry or negative thoughts get into a habit of writing them down on a piece of paper. Regularly problem-solve to help you deal with any practical worries you might experience,” it added.
