ALDERSGATE COLLEGE EYES TUITION HIKE

/ 2 May 2023

THE Aldersgate College Inc. in Nueva Vizcaya has proposed a 10 percent tuition hike to increase the salary of teachers and improve the school’s facilities.

The proposal was made last April 26 during the stakeholders consultation meeting.

“The consultation was set by the Commission on Higher Education in our application on tuition fee increase,” said Bernadette Blanche, campus executive officer.

Blanche said that the administration’s primary concern is the welfare of their employees, especially the teachers.

“There is a need to increase their salary in order for them to cope with the constant increase in the prices of goods and other services,” she added.

The vice president for finance and development, Carolyn Amaranto, said that that the additional tuition and other fees will be used for the upkeep of the laboratories, equipment and facilities.
