STUDENTS of Alaminos National High School planted bakawan in Alaminos City’s Bued Mangrove Park.

The project was led by the Youth for Environment School Organization of ACNHS in line with Department of Education order No. 93 series of 2011 and DepEd Order No. 33 s. 2008, titled “Pagtugon sa mga Banta ng Pagbabago ng Klima at Global Warming sa pamamagitan ng Massive, Intensive at Sustained Tree-Planting, Tree Growing, at Tree Caring Program.”

The local government praised the students for the initiative that showed their “love and care” for nature.

Alaminos Mayor Bryan Celeste thanked the people who protect coastal resources.

“Ang aktibong pakikilahok ng mga mag-aaral sa mga ganitong kampanya at programang pangkalikasan ay isa lamang sa pagpapakita ng kanilang pagmamahal sa ating kapaligiran,” the city government said.
