ADMU TEAM WINS IN INT’L BUSINESS CASE COMPETITION
A TEAM from the John Gokongwei School of Management of the Ateneo de Manila University won in an international business case competition, beating 290 teams from 85 countries.
Team Big Blue Energy emerged as champions in the 10th Creative Shock Business Case Competition after solving finance, marketing, public relations and strategy problems of several social businesses.
The team was the only Philippine contingent in the final round of the competition, competing against other universities in Europe and North America.
Composed of students Justin Einer Go, Angelika Mari Gultia, Sebastian Narciso and Jaime Luciano Siy, the team went through various rounds solving several business problems.
In a Facebook post, Gultia said they were “challenged to analyze a restaurant’s financials, market a product catered to kids with diabetes, and finally suggest a learning and operational model for Turing School — an after-school IT program for primary and secondary students in Lithuania.”
Team Big Blue Energy will bring home €2000 or around P116,400.
Organized by the students of ISM University of Management and Economics in Lithuania, Creative Shock is an international competition for solving social business situations and also aims to promote the social business model and its applications.
