A SENIOR High School student from the Ateneo de Manila University won the gold medal in the International Junior Math Olympiad.

Keean Nathaniel Tang competed with other mathletes across Asia to claim the top prize.

The competition was organized by the Singapore International Math Contests Center in collaboration with the National Math Societies in Asian countries.

It aimed to identify and encourage potential young math talents.

It also empowers students with deep conceptual understanding and logical thinking skills beyond their grade level, allowing them to better apply much higher-level logical and analytical skills to solve challenging Math Olympiad problems.

Only Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad and American Mathematics Olympiad gold and silver awardees from participating nations are eligible to join the IJMO.
