ADMU SHS GRAD BAGS AWARDS IN SINGAPORE INT’L MATH OLYMPIAD
A GRADUATE of the Ateneo de Manila Senior High School department bagged several awards in the Singapore International Mathematic Olympiad.
Jimbo Bernado was named overall champion of the Junior College/Grade 11 & 12 division for getting a perfect score in the Math Olympiad Round.
Jimbo also won silver in the Math Master Mind team competition upper division and another silver in the Mind Sports team competition upper division.
“His perfect score in the Math Olympiad Round also earned him a School Rank of 1, a Country Rank of 1, and a Global Rank of Perfect Score 1,” ADMU-SHS wrote on Facebook.
SIMOC is a competition for students from Grades 1 to 12 which not only tests their ability to solve mathematical problems on pen and paper, but also gives them an opportunity to work in a team with top mathematical talents from around the world while playing interactive mathematical games and solving puzzles.
SIMOC 2022’s participating countries included Brazil, Bulgaria, Cambodia, China, China-Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Mexico, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.
