ADAMSON U MOVES MIDTERMS, SHIFTS TO ASYNCHRONOUS CLASSES FOR A WEEK
THE ADAMSON University on Tuesday announced that it will be suspending synchronous classes and will cancel its midterm examinations anew to give its students and faculty enough time to recover from the effects of Typhoon Ulysses.
In a memorandum, University President Marcelo Manimtim said that only asynchronous classes will resume on November 18 to November 21.
Manimtim also requested faculty members not to require students to submit course requirements during this week.
Regular synchronous and asynchronous classes will resume on November 23.
Midterm examinations will be moved to November 25 to November 28.
“In order to give our students more time to adequately deal both with their family duties and schoolwork after typhoon Ulysses, we are moving the previously canceled midterm examinations to another week,” Manimtim said.
“We hope that we will soon make our way to recovery in this time of need. May everyone stay safe and keep faith,” he added.
A recent survey held by the Adamson University Student Government showed parents and guardians are in favor of the extension of class suspension and submission of requirements.
