ADAMSON, NU DENY CONNECTION TO STUDENT WHO POSTED RAPE JOKES
THE STUDENT governments of Adamson University and National University said a student who posted rape jokes was not enrolled in either school.
The groups received various reports and complaints against Carl Fernandez Dangdang, who posted rape jokes about celebrities.
“We would like to clarify that Carl Fernandez Dangdang is no longer a student of Adamson University and has transferred to another school,” AUSG said.
The NUSG also said that Dangdang is not enrolled in the university.
“We would like to state that Dangdang’s sentiments and views do not reflect us nor our university upon looking, the said student is not enrolled in the university for this academic year,” NUSG said in a statement.
Both universities stood firm on violence against women. The universities also said that they do not tolerate any form of harassment and abuse toward women like rape joke.
One of Dangdang’s posts that went viral was about Jennie of Korean K-pop girl group Blackpink.
“Tuwing nakikita ko teasers ni Jennie feel ko talaga umiiyak siya nung gabi before i-shoot kasi pinagtulungan siya ni YG at Teddy,” he said.
According to the NUSG, Dangdang posted an apology on his social media account which has been deactivated.
