ABRA STUDENTS BAG AWARD IN WORLD ROBOT GAMES

/ 6 May 2021

The Robotics team of Abra High School won the bronze medal in the Senior Innovation Category of the World Robot Games 2021.

The team composed of Venice Balbin, Marc Dei Niel Bides, Keneth Seruno, Shefally Daime Valencia, David James Rayver Viado, and Ma. Teresa Viste developed an automatic and contactless Disinfection Channel and a Portable and Dual-Powered Renewal Energy Source sanitation station that bested the 27 other entries.

Teresa Viste.

Meanwhile, the Portable and Dual-Powered Renewal Energy Source is a hands-free sanitation station that uses three automatic dispensing systems like water, soap, and alcohol.

Education Secretary Leonor Briones commended the feat of the students.

“The feat of Abra High School Robotics team is yet another evidence of the world-class talent of our learners. We commend them and their coaches who really worked hard to give our country another source of pride,” Briones said.
