50 ISABELA STATE U STUDENTS COMPLETE TWSP
FIFTY students of the Isabela State University have completed their competency requirements for the Training for Work Scholarship Program.
These include 25 students for Horticulture National Certification 3 and 25 others for Agricultural Crops Production NC 3, Christian Lloyd Taguba, ISU Main Campus public information officer, said.
Taguba said that Dr. Joel Panganggaan, director of the Technical Vocational Education Training-Competency Assessment Center, and Dr. Vilma Cabrera, provincial director of the Technical Skills Development Authority, were present during the graduation of the pioneer batch.
TWSP is a support-funded program launched by the ISU TVET-CAC, TESDA-Isabela, and Isabela’s 6th Congressional District Office.
“If we talk about quality education, I can always guarantee the academic services provided by the Isabela State University,” Cabrera said.
In his speech during the graduation rites, Rep. Faustino Dy V emphasized the importance of agricultural education.
“We need to support agricultural education because our local resources in the province of Isabela have to be maximized and we are glad that ISU has been very supportive and responsive to this aim of our local government,” Dy said.
