5 SILLIMAN U STUDENTS SHINE IN 11TH APPSAM NAT’L ASSEMBLY
FIVE high school students of the Silliman University bagged several awards in the 11th National Student Leadership Assembly and Talent Fair of the Association of Philippine Private School Administrators and Mentors.
Seve Nigel Tuale was the overall champion in the Extemporaneous Speech event. He competed with 20 other participants.
On the other hand, STEAM student Franchesca Alyanna Clavel and Grade 10 student Yuichi Cardenas placed second and fifth in the Essay Writing category, respectively.
Grade 10 learner Karla Concepcion Fontelo secured third place in the Interpretive Reading event, while Rania Minalang ranked fourth in the Poetry Writing contest.
Other SU delegates participated in various competitions, such as science, mathematics, spelling, general information, poster making and oration.
The Association of Philippine Private School Administrators and Mentors gathers junior and senior high school students annually to prepare them for the challenges they will encounter as student leaders.
