346 PLM STUDENTS SIGN UP WITH PHILHEALTH
A TOTAL of 346 students of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila availed of the onsite membership registration offered by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation earlier this week.
The event aimed to provide students a convenient way to register and be part of the government’s health insurance service.
“PLM extends its gratitude to PhilHealth officials and staff for making this service available to our students right inside the campus,” university President Emmanuel Leyco said.
“This is an important step towards medical health and financial safety in the face of the Covid19 pandemic,” he added.
Students aged 20 and below can be registered as a dependent of a parent or guardian who is a PhilHealth member.
Meanwhile, learners aged 21 and older, or at least 18 years old but do not have PhilHealth-member parents can sign up as individual contributors.
PhilHealth registration is encouraged for students attending face-to-face classes.
