3 USC LAW STUDENTS RECEIVE SCHOLARSHIPS
THREE law students from the University of San Carlos (USC) have been awarded merit-based scholarships from the Foundation for Liberty and Prosperity (FLP), funded by the Tan Yan Kee Foundation.
The recipients are fourth-year law students Bri Unabia, Myka Reambonanza, and Michelle Aubry Vergara.
According to USC, aside from being an FLP scholar, Unabia was also recognized as the Overall Best Oralist in the National Rounds of the 2025 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.
He was likewise part of the team that won the Overall Best Memorial Awards in the 2025 Jessup Global Rounds.
As part of the selection process, the students were required to write an essay on “safeguarding liberty and nurturing prosperity under the rule of law” and explain how this philosophy applies to their current and future endeavors as legal practitioners.
USC said each recipient of the prestigious scholarship will receive a total of ₱250,000, broken down as follows: ₱150,000 for tuition, ₱80,000 for stipend, and ₱20,000 for book allowance.
In 2024, USC Law also had three senior students who received the same merit-based scholarship, including dissertation awards granted by the FLP.
