THREE professors from University of the Philippines Diliman were among the recipients in the 21st Manuel L Quezon Gawad Parangal.

The three are Ernesto Serote, Dr. Laura David, and Dr. Aura Matias.

Meanwhile, late National Artists for Visual Arts and UPD professor Fernando Amorsolo also received a special citation (posthumous) on behalf of his daughter Sylvia Amorsolo-Lazo.

The MLQ Gawad Parangal Award stands as the highest form of recognition given by the Quezon City government to outstanding individuals and institutions with remarkable contributions and achievements that bring honor not only to themselves but also the city and the country.

This year, the city government honored 15 individuals in the fields of Justice and Law, Science and Technology, Social Work, Business and Entrepreneurship, and Environment and Sanitation.

The MLQ Gawad Parangal is part of the celebration of the 84th founding anniversary of QC.
