3 PLM STUDENTS BAG AWARDS IN COMPUTERING PROGRAMMING TILT

THREE students from the College of Engineering and Technology of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila were declared champions in a computer programming competition organized by the Institute of Computer Engineers of the Philippines Student Edition.

Second year student Rhoien Bergola was hailed as the overall champion for Java programming, while Mark Allen Alberto was the champion for the use of C++.

Third year student James Lawrence Cruz, meanwhile, was the overall champion for the Python programming category.

CET faculty members Engr. Marc Reinhard Ballon, Engr. Steven Laurence Ballerda and Engr. Evelyn Carolino served as their coaches.

“We are so thrilled to see our students emerge at the top of their respective fields this early. This is yet again another testament to the quality of education which PLM offers to the Filipino youth. Congratulations!” PLM President Emmanuel Leyco said.

The students will compete against other regional winners for the national championships.
