THREE graduates of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila topped the Nursing Licensure Examination given by the Professional Regulation Commission last month.
Jhon Paul Francisco placed third in the exam after getting a score of 88.20 percent.
Mary Rose Melicor and Jessielyn Mae Tan ranked seventh and eighth, respectively. Melicor had a score of 87.20 percent, while Tan got 87 percent.
The school tallied a perfect passing rate as all of its 13 first time takers passed the exam.
“Congratulations to our newest licensed nurses! There could not have been a better time for the 13 of you to formally join the frontlines of our country’s healthcare system,” PLM President Emmanuel Leyco said.
“As nurses for the people, may you carry out your duties with sincere compassion and care,” he added.
“PLM has consistently posted a strong performance in licensure examinations in the health sector, a testament to the accessible quality education it seeks to provide to the Filipino youth,” Leyco added.
The PRC said 6,086 out of the 11,828 examinees passed the exam held in Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Rosales, San Fernando, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.
