2K ASCOT STUDENTS RECEIVE CASH AID
A TOTAL of 2,000 students from the Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) have received cash assistance from the Department of Welfare And Development to help them with their education.
Amounting to P5,000 per student, the educational cash aid was handed to the students under the DSWD’s Assistance in Crisis Situation program and the office of Senator Imee Marcos.
The money was disbursed at the ASCOT Gymnasium at its Zabali campus on Tuesday (23 Jan 2024).
Several local officials from the province led by Governor Christian Noveras were present at the event.
“Wala po tayong ibang gagawin kung hindi ang mag aral ng mabuti. Ito lamang po ang ating maitutumbas sa mga ganitong klaseng tulong,” Michelle A. Resueno, Vice President for Admin, Finance, and Planning said.
Classes in ASCOT resumed on Monday, to start the second semester in the college.
