THE ACCREDITING Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines Inc. granted Tarlac State University Level 2 re-accreditation for its BS Food Technology and BS Environmental Science programs.

Citing AACCUP report, the BS Food Technology program demonstrated high performance in faculty, library, and physical plant and facilities.

It has a grand mean of 3.61, equivalent to a very satisfactory descriptive rating.

Meanwhile, excelled in instruction, faculty, and library, with 3.74 grand mean, is also equivalent to a very satisfactory descriptive rating.

The Level II Re-Accredited status of both programs is valid until September 30, 2026.

“Makakaasa po kayo na 100 percent — kung pwede pa dagdagan ng 101 percent — ang support to all the endeavors of the university… Makakaasa po kayo. ‘Wag kayong mahiya at wala naman pong mawawala kung napapag-usapan. If we’re really united, then wala pong mahirap sa nagkakaisang Tarlac State University,” TSU President Arnold Velasco said.

AACCUP is responsible for the accreditation of curricular programs in the Philippines, particularly state universities and colleges.

According to AACCUP, accreditation is viewed as a process by which an institution at the tertiary level evaluates its educational activities, in whole or in part, and seeks an independent judgment to confirm that it substantially achieves its objectives, and is generally equal in quality to comparable institutions.
