TWO students of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines Unisan won in the ASEANWAVE Webxibition and Festival 2023 organized by the Commission on Higher Education.

Alaissa Somodio and John Carlo Cordova were recognized for their video “Stronger Together.”

The competition required collaboration with students from other ASEAN higher educational institution, PUP said.

Through Unisan’s International Linkages program, they were able to complete the team with the participation of La Min Myat from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Thailand.

“The members of the team shared that the entire process of producing the winning video was challenging since everything was planned and developed remotely, given that PUP during the contest proper conducts classes online,” PUP said.

“The group must deal with poor internet connection, time availability of each member, and language barrier, among others. Nonetheless, the winning output was produced, winning the hearts of the judges and audience with its heart-warming message,” it added.

CHED held the event themed “ASEAN ACT: Addressing Challenges Together” in celebration of the ASEAN month.
