2 DLSU PROFS AMONG TOP 100 SCIENTISTS IN ASIA
TWO De La Salle University professors were named among Asia’s 100 top scientist by a Singaporean-based magazine.
The two are Chemical Engineering Full Professor Dr. Joseph Auresenia and Department of Chemistry Associate Professor Dr. David Penaloza, Jr.
Auresenia and Peneloza were among 14 Filipinos included in this year’s list of the Asian Scientist Magazine.
To be considered in the list, the researcher must have received a national or international award in the preceding year for his or her research area, made a significant scientific discovery, or taken on a leadership role in academe or industry.
ASM recognizes the region’s exemplary researchers, highlighting their achievements across a range of scientific fields.
Auresenia was awarded the Korean Society for Biotechnology and Bioengineering Research Exchange Award for his contributions and supporting role to further the collaboration among Asian researchers in the field of biotechnology research.
On the other hand, Penaloza, Jr. was named the Achievement Awardee for the NRCP Division of Chemical Sciences for his notable contributions in polymer chemistry research.
