TWO students from Central Luzon State University will participate in the ASEAN Today’s World 2023 at Mahidol University in Thailand.

Laurence Lingat Ramos and Carl Danielle Cabuhat were selected by Kyushu University in Japan and Mahidol University to join the international study program to be held from March 12 to 24.

“As recipients of the Kyushu University scholarship, both students will experience a fully covered program fee which includes tuition fees for two AsTW courses, some meals/banquets during the program, accommodation, group airport pick-up/drop-off, and study tour fees,” CLSU said in a press release.

The AsTW curriculum consists of ASEAN Studies and Asian Languages and Cultures courses. It is supplemented by co-curricular study trips which provide students with enriched and unique learning opportunities.

Through the AS courses, students will be able to enhance their knowledge and get a greater grasp of ASEAN and ‘ASEAN+3’ collaboration.

They can also explore ASEAN and East Asian concerns from various perspective as a significant aspect of the curriculum.

On the other hand, the ALC course provides students with an intensive Asian language study experience meant to enhance competency in the selected language and to aid in the acquisition of a fundamental understanding of the linked culture.

Students will get a broad awareness of each language’s culture and sociolinguistic background.

Co-organized by Mahidol University and Kyushu University, the AsTW 2023 is a two-week international study program focused on ASEAN and East Asian affairs designed for undergraduate students around the world.
