TWO alumnus of the Silliman University were recently named as presidents of two higher education institutions.

Dr. Joy Molina Mirasol officially assumed her post as the third president of the Bukidnon State University after its Board of Regents picked her over two other contenders.

Mirasol, the university’s former vice president for Research, Extension and Innovation, took her oath of office last February 14, 2023.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Silliman University in 1989.

Meanwhile, Dr. Steven Sumaylo recently took over as president of the Siquijor State College.

Sumaylo served as vice president for Research and Extension of SSC before his appointment as president.

He took his Bachelor of Science in Education major in English and graduated in 1993 from SU.
