12 OLFU STUDENTS RECEIVE SCHOLARSHIP FROM DOH
TWELVE students from the Our Lady of Fatima – Antipolo can look forward to finishing their courses after being chosen as scholars of the Department of Health.
Ten of the grantees are from the College of Medical Science Laboratory and two from the College of Pharmacy.
Under the department’s Pre-Service Scholarship Program, each scholar was allotted P1.1 million financial support to cover his or her entire college education and pre-board expenses.
The program prioritizes students who are members of indigenous groups, those who are living in Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas and those who come from low-income families.
College of Medical Laboratory Science Dean Jose Nuevo expressed his gratitude to the DoH for picking OLFU as beneficiary.
“It is our pleasure to serve our youth and future scientists and future pharmacists,” the dean said.
College of Pharmacy Dean Olive De Vera said that the assistance will give life-changing opportunities for the students.
The scholars will have to render one year of service at a health facility run by the DOH for every year of their scholarship.
