TEN magna cum laude from the Class of 2023 of the Mariano Marcos State University received the Senator Imee Marcos Academic Excellence Award.

The graduates received their gold medals last July 13 from MMSU President Shirley Agrupis and Commissioner Lolibeth Ramit-Medrano of the Philippine Competition Commission, who served as guest of honor and speaker during the university’s recognition rites for honor graduates.

MMSU Class of 2023 is led by Leiane Zyra C. Calderon of the BA Communication program.

She is followed by Julia Katrina P. Bonotan (BS Fisheries); Paul Angelo Juan (BA Communication); Rizza Mae G. Ubado (BS Meteorology); Michael Christophe R. Agustin (B Secondary Education); Maria Anna Jessica A. Rosqueta (BA Communication); Neil Archie L. Garcia (BA Sociology); Kenn I. Solomon (BS Computer Science); Christian Jeffrey G. Balintec (B Technology and Livelihood Education); and Jubert Angelo S. Castro (BS Computer Science).

Calderon thanked Senator Marcos for the recognition.

“I know that education has always been a top priority of the good senator. As she is an empowered woman I really look up to, I am thrilled, and at the same time humbled, to receive this award,” she said.
