THE SCHOOLS Division Office (SDO) of Las Piñas has condemned online threats and the circulation of videos involving students, assuring the public that it is taking immediate action to protect learners and ensure the safety of the entire school community.

In an official statement, the SDO emphasized that it does not tolerate any form of threat, intimidation, or the dissemination of inappropriate messages and videos that could put students, teachers, and other members of the school community at risk or cause fear and distress.

The office said it immediately coordinated with school heads, barangay officials, the Philippine National Police (PNP), the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, and Bahay Pag-asa after receiving reports about a circulating video containing threats to the safety of students and teachers.

The SDO said the matter is being handled in accordance with existing Department of Education (DepEd) policies, particularly DepEd Order No. 6, series of 2026, or the Guidelines on Ensuring a Safe and Motivating Learning Environment.

It also reminded the public to refrain from sharing, reposting, or reproducing the video on social media and other digital platforms, citing the Media Management Guidelines under DepEd Order No. 7, series of 2026, as well as provisions of the Data Privacy Act of 2012. The office said this is necessary to safeguard the rights, dignity, and mental well-being of the minors involved.

The SDO assured the public that it continues to strengthen school security protocols and review access control measures to ensure a safe, secure, and peaceful learning environment for students, teachers, and school personnel.

“SDO Las Piñas remains committed to protecting learners and upholding a culture of safety, respect, and responsibility within the school community,” the office said.
