VALENZUELA POLICE TIGHTEN SCHOOL SECURITY AFTER VIRAL THREAT POST

/ 18 July 2026

THE VALENZUELA City Police Station (VCPS) has intensified security measures and launched an investigation after a viral social media post threatened a possible attack on three schools in the city.

In a statement, the VCPS assured the public that the safety and security of students, teachers, school personnel, and residents remain its top priority.

The threat, which circulated on July 15, 2026, specifically mentioned Malinta National High School, Malinta Elementary School, and the Valenzuela City School of Mathematics and Science (VALMASCIE).

Upon receiving reports from the principals of the affected schools, Valenzuela police, under the directive of Police Colonel Joseph Talento, immediately deployed personnel from Malinta Police Sub-Station 4 to conduct security assessments, coordinate with school officials, and implement heightened security measures.

The police have increased foot and mobile patrols, carried out regular inspections, and maintained a visible presence around the schools to deter any potential threat and reassure students, teachers, staff, and parents.

Meanwhile, the Station Intelligence Section has launched intelligence and information-gathering operations to verify the reported threat, while the Station Investigation Unit is conducting a full investigation to identify those responsible for creating and spreading the malicious social media post.

The VCPS is also coordinating with cybercrime authorities to conduct a digital forensic examination aimed at identifying the individual or individuals behind the online threat.

Authorities emphasized that, as of this time, there is no verified information indicating an imminent threat to any of the schools. However, the police remain on heightened alert and continue to carry out proactive security operations.

Following consultations with the Valenzuela City Police Station and the results of the initial security assessment, the administrations of the three schools decided to proceed with classes as scheduled, citing the absence of credible evidence supporting the authenticity of the viral threat.

The police urged the public to remain calm, refrain from sharing unverified information on social media, and immediately report any suspicious person, activity, or online content to the nearest police station or through the official communication channels of the Valenzuela City Police Station.

Authorities also commended the school administrators for their prompt reporting and full cooperation, which enabled law enforcement to respond quickly and further strengthen security measures.
