/ 12 November 2025

SILLIMAN University’s Technical Educational Vocational and Entrepreneurial Center (TEVEC) has partnered with SUMC Foundation, Inc. to advance technical and vocational education, particularly in health-related qualifications under the Supervised Industry Learning program of SUMC.

A memorandum of agreement was signed last month between the two institutions to formalize the partnership.

Both parties committed to supporting SU TEVEC’s implementation of accredited programs, including Emergency Medical Services NC II and NC III, Health Care Services NC II, Barangay Health Services NC II, Pharmacy Services NC III, and Caregiving NC II.

These programs aim to enhance the competence and employability of learners by providing practical, industry-based training aligned with the needs of the healthcare sector.

Present during the signing were SUMCFI President and CEO Fredita R. Tan and other nursing administrators, alongside SU President Dr. Betty Cernol McCann and TEVEC officials.

The partnership underscores Silliman University’s continued commitment to providing accessible, skills-oriented education that bridges academic learning with real-world professional practice in healthcare.
